Mel will show how tablets/smartphones can be used to change lives. She aims to inspire you into action by raising awareness of the lives of older people and people with disabilities and how tablets and smartphones could solve some of their everyday challenges. She will share stories and real life examples, allowing you to learn from the people themselves.

Discussion and audience involvement will be encouraged, promoting an active evening of powerful conversation. 

About Mel Findlater

Mel is a local geek for social good. She gets ridiculously excited about the possibilities that  technology has to change lives, especially with people with disabilities and older people. She has a background in working with young people, people with disabilities, older people and in the voluntary sector. She spends most of her days supporting people to learn to use tablets and smartphones, while enthusiastically helping The You Can Hub to turn amazing ideas for social good into a reality.  

She's keen to share her knowledge, skills and passion with others, especially those who are on their own mission for social good.
